Companion planting is using plants to battle disease, pests and to enhance the flavor of fruits and vegetables? Aromatic plants like mint or basil are common companion plants to include in the garden. However they are just the top of the carrot. There are lots and lots of great ideas on companion planning to enhance your backyard farming experience. I've tried many and I will tell you what I have found. Visit again in a week or so and I should have some great inforomation on using companion planting just about anywhere in the world. In the meantime are two websites which provide information on Companion Planting. One of my personal experiences with companion planting written this past summer 2009. I have validated that four o'clock flowers really put a dent in the Japanese beetle population. Today I found two of the Japanese beetles in my garden. Before the four o'clocks began blooming my wife's roses and my garden were hit hard by the beetles. I could kill several dozen a day only to find more the next day.
